Pulse Ultrasound

What is an ultrasound scan?

An ultrasound scan uses sound waves to assess and create images of your body. They are particularly useful for assessing veins, arteries, lumps and bumps, head and neck glands, abdominal and pelvic organs, muscle, tendons, joints and ligaments.

Our ultrasound scans

We do not offer pregnancy scans.

We offer Vascular Scans, General Scans, and Musculoskeletal Scans.

Vascular Scans

assess the blood flow and create an image of your arteries and veins. Varicose veins, blood clots, aneurysms, blocked arteries, are all examples of vascular scans.

General Scans

assess the size and structure of lumps and bumps under the skin, lymph nodes, thyroid and salivary glands, breasts, testicles, and organs in the abdomen and the pelvis such as the gallbladder, liver kidneys, ovaries, uterus and bladder.

Musculoskeletal Scans

assess the appearance and structure of muscles, ligaments, tendons, and joints. Musculoskeletal conditions include tendonitis, ligament injuries and joint inflammation.
