Richard specialises in minimally invasive varicose veins treatments and arterial conditions, which include aneurysms and arterial blockages.He is a highly regarded vascular, endovascular, and transplant surgeon. With over 25 years of surgical experience, Richard has a private practice as well as working for Te Whatu Ora.
Vein Specialist & Interventional Radiologist

Anthony completed his medical degree at the University of Otago. He trained as a radiologist in Wellington, prior to completing specialist Interventional Radiology training in Brisbane. An interventional radiologist is an expert in using medical imaging to guide minimally invasive procedures.
Specialist Vascular Sonographer
Darshna trained as a Specialist Vascular Sonographer at Dunedin Hospital completing the DMUvasc. She has over 10 years of specialist vascular experience working in various hospitals in New Zealand and the United Kingdom as a clinical vascular scientist. Arriving back in New Zealand in 2021 Darshna has gone back to ‘school’ to continue her ultrasound education working towards a general ultrasound qualification to broaden her scope.
LEAD SONOGRAPHER
Sheree has over 20 years’ experience in the health care sector with her career beginning in emergency medicine in 1997. Sheree moved into medical imaging receiving her BAppSci (MIT) in 2008. She qualified with a DMU (Diploma of Ultrasonography) in 2015 with a special interest in vascular ultrasound.
Ultrasound Coordinator
Before Richard Evans Vascular Rebecca (Becky) was working on reception at one of REV’s Wellington clinic locations – Wakefield Specialist Centre. That experience, combined with a BSc in Anatomy, means Becky is well placed to be working in a medical environment as our Ultrasound Coordinator.
Attach clinical notes, previous imaging, and required reporting timeframes. Our team triages daily, allocating the right sonographer and ensuring consultant review when indicated.

Most ultrasound studies are reported within 24 hours. Complex vascular studies or consultant reviews may take up to 48 hours. Critical findings are phoned through immediately.
We welcome GP and specialist referrals as well as self-funded patients. Our concierge can guide you through the best pathway.
Patients should bring photo ID, any relevant imaging reports, compression stockings (if vascular), and wear loose, comfortable clothing.
